Buffalo Chex Mix

So I am on this great journey to become healthier. The first thing I have discovered is that snacking is a huge problem for me.

I made this recipe, and keep it in a big canister on my counter. I know that I can have 1/2 cup at a time without derailing my plan. I try to save up enough points so I can have this in the evening while I am winding down and watching TV. I brush my teeth after I eat it so I am not tempted to go back for another serving :) It is crunchy, salty and has a little bit of a bite to it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Better go brush my teeth...

Buffalo Chex Mix

24 servings (1/2 cup each)
3 Points

4 cups Rice Chex cereal
4 cups Wheat Chex cereal
2 cups Parmesan flavored crackers
2 cups pretzel twists
6 Tbsp butter
2 1/2 Tbsp hot sauce
1 packet ranch dressing mix

In a large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, crackers and pretzels; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, melt butter. Stir in hot sauce and dressing mix. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.

Microwave uncovered on high 4 or 5 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.
